BariWare® was cofounded by a Bariatric Surgeon and a Surgical Physician Assistant who currently run a very successful Bariatric Surgical Practice. Products by BariWare® are designed to meet the specific needs of post surgical bariatric patients, but have found that this product is also suitable for those dieting under a Physician’s supervision, Diabetics, babies/toddlers, or anyone wanting to anyone with a condition requiring small, frequent meals.
Meet Dr. Jessee – Bariatric Surgeon
Dr. Tiffany Jessee is the only female Adjustable Gastric Band surgeon in the state of Florida!
Dr. Jessee completed medical school in her home state of West Virginia in 1997. She then moved to Largo, Florida where she completed a one year rotating internship as well as her four year general surgery residency. In 2002 she traveled to Coral Gables, Florida for a one year fellowship in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. Dr. Jessee is one of the only fellowship trained surgeons practicing in the Tampa Bay area. She also has the distinction of being the first surgeon in the world to use a new single incision laproscopic technique called the “Laproscopic Spider” for placement of the Band.
She studied under the direction of Moises Jacobs M.D. and Eddie Gomez M.D. Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Gomez are two of the top laparoscopic surgeons in the world. Dr. Jessee trained extensively in the LAP-BAND® and Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass. She opened her practice in Largo, Florida in August 2003. She performed the first LAP-BAND® in Pinellas County.
Dr. Jessee is one of only a few surgeons in the Tampa Bay area invited to place the REALIZE™ (Johnson and Johnson) banding system, since approval by the FDA in 2007. Dr. Jessee is proud to be associated with Palms of Pasadena’s Bariatric Center of Excellence in St. Petersburg, FL.
Dezi is a seasoned Physician Assistant with the Sun Coast Bariatrics team. She is a licensed Physician Assistant works closely with Dr. Jessee to provide patients with exceptional care. Dezi has over 9 years experience as a Physician Assistant. She has worked in orthopaedics providing patient care as well as performing procedures and providing surgical assistance. Dezi has also worked in the Emergency Room which has prepared her for any situation that may arise! Dezi enjoys caring for patients that are working toward their goal of permanent weight control.
